We have started to get calls concerning when to prune, fertilize and plant different things in your yard. Below are tips for April that the Master Gardener℠ volunteers of Pasquotank County have put together. They will be offering tips each month during the spring and summer.

To become an Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteer, each volunteer has to complete a training course and have a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service. Then each year they must receive 10 hours of advanced training to remain certified as an Extension Master Gardener volunteer.

For more information on what to plant, when to plant it or if you have a disease problem please feel free to contact our Master Gardener Hotline which will be each Monday from 10 a.m. to noon. The number to call is 338-3954.
