Everyone enjoys beautiful residential and commercial lawns and landscapes. Extension plays a part in that via the educational programs provided to professionals that work in the commercial landscape establishment and maintenance industry.

On Thursday, February 27, 2020, at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Pasquotank County Center, located at 1209 McPherson Street, Elizabeth City, NC, we will hold the Albemarle Area Landscape School.

This program will provide not only useful information for those in attendance but will also provide much-needed credits for both landscape contractors and commercial pesticide applicators. The morning will start at 10:00 a.m. with registration followed by presentations.

10:00 a.m. – Registration

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon – Christina Harvey, NCDA, Social Media and Marketing

12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. – Sponsored Lunch

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Tom Glasgow, NCCES, Pest Management for Landscapes and Trees

2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Cameron Stephens, NCSU PhD Student, Pest Management in Turf

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Grace Manzer, NCCES, Pest Resistant Plant Selections

This class will provide 2 hours of business and 3 hours of general credits for landscape contractors as well as 2 hours of commercial pesticide license credits for the categories of Turf and Ornamentals, Demonstration & Research, and Dealers, as well as 2 hours of X credits for farmer pesticide license.
