Do you want to learn more about horses? If so, the NC Cooperative Extension – Currituck Center will be offering an Equine Science Class once every month starting October 26, 2019. These classes will be from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., at the Currituck County Rural Center (CCRC) at 184 Milburn Sawyer Road, Powells Point, NC. Dates for the classes are:

Saturday, October 26

Saturday, November 9

Saturday, December 7 - Rescheduled to December 19, 2019 from 4 pm to 6 pm.

These sessions will cover various topics such as horse care and nutrition, horse anatomy, equine physiology and diseases, training, judging, history, and evolution. These classes are free, but registration is required. We will have guest speakers as well. Sessions will be held in the classroom in the white barn at the CCRC. This program will continue through February 2020, so stay tuned for future dates.

Registration is required and all youth must be enrolled in 4-HOnline (nc.4honline.com) for the 2019 calendar year. You can register online at go.ncsu.edu/equinescienceseries or by contacting the office at 252-232-2261.
