Description:
The Soybean Festival brings together farmers, agribusinessmen and others to pay tribute to the heritage of soybeans in this area. The first processing of soybeans in the United States took place in Elizabeth City. 

4th grade students in Camden, Currituck,  Pasquotank, and Perquimans Counties who receive 1st,  2nd, 3rd or honorable mention in the Soybean Poster Contest will be recognized.

It is getting warm outside so its time to get ready to fire up the grill and start grilling some meat. Youth will learn about different cuts of meat most common for grilling. They will learn which animals they come from and where on the animal the meat is located. Youth will then learn how to start a charcoal and propane fire and grill their own meat.
