Camp Mesowannago 4-H Day Camp

4-H Day Camp is the perfect place for your child’s summer fun. Camp Mesowannago provides a safe and fun environment where your child can learn and grow. Youth ages 5 (must have completed kindergarten) to 12, participate in age-appropriate, learning-centered activities that encourage new skills, leadership, independence, and friendship. 

Each of the five weeks will present a new educational theme with a wide variety of enrichment activities to keep campers engaged. Hands-on experiments, art projects, games, music, cooking, field trips, and swimming are just a few examples of the fun that will be experienced at Camp Mesowannago. 

2020 Weeks and Themes 

Week 1: June 22-26:  Plant Detectives

Week 2: June 29-July 2:  The Great Outdoors (four-day camp)

Week 3: July 6-10:  All About Animals

Week 4: July 13-17:  The Wonderful World of S.T.E.A.M.

Week 5: July 20-24:  Out of this World – Planets, Stars, Space, and Time 

Camps will be held Monday through Friday (except week 2 because of a holiday) at N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center on 120 Community Way in Barco from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The fee of $80 per week covers all activities and snacks.  Please send a packed lunch with your child. You can register at campmesowannago and then complete the required 4-H onlineform. Registration is complete and your child’s spot is reserved when fees are received.
