Safe Plates LogoN. C. Cooperative Extension, Chowan and Pasquotank County Centers will host a Virtual Safe Plates for Food Managers Course, beginning October 4 through November 1, 2021, with testing on November 8. Weekly virtual office hours will be offered weekly on Thursdays from 3–4 p.m. (zoom link will be sent upon registration) to allow participants to ask questions in preparation for the exam.

This safety training course was developed by NC State Extension and allows participants to complete the course at their own pace. Managers trained in Safe Plates for Food Managers are equipped to create a work environment that minimizes food safety risks in their restaurants, cafeterias, and grocery stores through best practices, open communication, and thoughtful practice.
